Nicola started work within
a secretarial environment, working for large organisations such as Alcatel
(in telecommunications) and Aldi, the German discount retailer.
In 1997 she started her own company, working closely with a small software
house that is responsible for developing EPOS software and customised
programming. Nicola works closely with the customer to design a software
solution to suit the task at hand. Nicola is involved in every stage,
from design, installation, training and then telephone support for the
end users.
Nicola has also written training manuals for EPOS, Sales order processing
and stock control software specifically aimed for the customers use. In
response to customers requests to take their training further, to
include MS Office, Nicola developed her skills on the different topics,
expanding her own knowledge of the MS Office range.
Towards the end of 1999 Nicola began freelance work for On Site Training
Ltd, based in Salford Quays, Manchester, soon followed on by Keys Group,
also based in Salford Quays. During this time she has developed her skills
in training Windows, Word to advanced level, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
to intermediate level. Having worked in different environments including
office and retail, Nicola has a good insight into the situations clients
are faced with and tries to provide a sympathetic solution.
More recently Nicola has been involved in the set up and running of a
new Internet company, providing assistance in the training and operating
of the software. Whilst ongoing, her involvement will also increase her
knowledge and insight into a new, up to the minute business style.
Clients have included British Aerospace, NHS, Great Universal Home Shopping,
Whitbread, Salford Housing Association (SPACE) and Nevada Bob Golf Chain.
