Penny Lockley is an IT
Training Consultant able to provide training on a range of spreadsheet,
database, word-processing and presentation packages. Penny provides training
for office automation packages, which include e-mail and scheduling systems,
Microsoft Office and Lotus Notes.
Penny joined the Automobile Association in 1994 at their Cheadle Call
Handling Centre in their New Membership Unit; rapidly working her way
up to become the Call Centre Trainer at the AA’s European Operations centre,
in Maidstone, Kent. There she was responsible for the training needs of
150 staff, delivering training events, maintaining & upgrading training
PCs, providing IT training solutions by liaising with all levels of management
to meet the AA's training objectives of the business plan.
Promotion led Penny to the AA’s Head Office in Basingstoke to take on
a role as Technical Trainer in 1997 with Desktop Training Services, a
Microsoft Solutions Provider. It was here that she concentrated on training
Microsoft Office products to advanced level and became involved with Windows
95/8, NT4 rollout projects, support and solutions.
Penny moved to Manchester in 1999 as a Training Consultant for Parity
Training Ltd where she continued to enlarge her product portfolio.
IIn March 2000, Penny became a freelance trainer and co- director of Lockley
Kan-Hai Ltd, providing training in MS Office, business systems and other
associated skills. Her customers include Shell Services International,
Parity Training Ltd, Pentagon IT, First Stop Training and AstraZeneca.
Penny holds the Institute for Personnel & Development's Certificate
in Training Practice and also
holds Institute of IT Trainers accreditation. She trains in a variety
of environments from corporate to sales to manufacturing for a varied
target audience which requires a flexible, professional approach to design,
delivery and evaluation.
