Suzanne started work
in 1995 within customer service, taking a number of temporary customer
service roles in order to gain business experience in a number of different
environments. In 1998 she decided to move into training, becoming an IT
Training Consultant for ORS Training Services, then part of the In-Depth
Group.
In her role as an IT Training Consultant, she was responsible for the
development and delivery of IT courses, and the analysis and design of
small systems for business applications. She also provided post-training
support.
In order to develop her skills further, in January 2000 she began to work
as a CLAIT Stage One evening course tutor. This afforded her an excellent
opportunity to gain even more experience in IT in general. In addition
to the delivery of the specified content, she tailored the course as far
as possible to meet individual needs. A number of the delegates were self-employed
and have specific requirements for the use of IT as part of their business.
She has also provided private tuition in basic IT skills for adults wishing
to improve their knowledge generally or for business use.
In May 2000, following the closure of ORS Training Services by the In-Depth
Group, Suzanne became a freelance training consultant, continuing to offer
a quality training service to her customers.
Suzanne delivers training in Windows 95/98/NT, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
to advanced level and Access, Outlook and Publisher to intermediate level.
The delivery of these courses has provided her with an in-depth knowledge
of the applications, a good in-sight into how they are used in business
and the kind of problems that users experience when they go back to the
workplace. She always tries to build these issues into subsequent courses
in order to provide a better service, more relevant to business requirements
for IT.
